Mountable PokΓ©mon & Ride Styles
Every mountable PokΓ©mon has one or more ride styles that define how it behaves while being ridden. These styles determine movement, control schemes, and how well the mount performs in different environments or situations.
Ride styles are divided into Land, Liquid, and Air categories. A single PokΓ©mon may have one ride style from multiple categories. For example, Charizard functions as both a Standard Land mount and a Bird Flying mount.
To begin riding, shift-click the PokΓ©mon of choice!
Land Ride Styles
Standard
Standard mounts are the most basic land-based ride style. They move similarly to vanilla Minecraft horses.
The mount follows the playerβs look direction
Left and right keys allow strafing
Sprinting is available but drains stamina
This style is well-suited for straightforward ground travel.
Vehicle
Vehicle-style mounts also operate on land but use a control scheme similar to vanilla boats.
Forward movement is independent of camera direction, allowing free camera movement
Left and right keys turn the mount instead of strafing
Turning radius is wider than Standard mounts
By holding left or right while crouching, the mount will drift, tightening its turn radius.
Liquid Ride Styles
Boat
Boat-style mounts are the basic form of water traversal.
Controls mirror vanilla boats
Camera direction does not affect movement
Left and right keys rotate the mount
These mounts are restricted to the surface of liquids.
Submarine
Submarine-style mounts build upon Boat-style movement while adding underwater capability.
Can fully submerge
Allow free movement beneath the liquid surface
Dolphin
Dolphin-style mounts expand on Submarine mounts.
Retain underwater movement
Can leap powerfully out of liquids
This style excels at fast, dynamic water traversal.
Air Ride Styles
Bird
Bird-style mounts are the standard flying option.
Can fly, glide, and hover
Movement follows the playerβs look direction
Left and right keys strafe
Looking up or down (or using forward/backward input) raises or lowers altitude
Bird mounts also include an alternate flight mode that behaves similarly to vanilla elytra flight, where momentum and look direction play a larger role in movement.
Jet
Jet-style mounts use boat-like controls while flying.
Camera direction does not determine forward movement
Left and right keys turn the mount
Ascend and descend using jump and crouch
Unlike Bird mounts, Jet mounts cannot hover, but they generally have much higher top speeds.
UFO
UFO-style mounts provide omnidirectional flight similar to creative or spectator mode.
Can hover freely in all directions
Movement is slow compared to other air styles
These mounts are limited by a maximum flight height. Exceeding this height drains stamina.
Rocket
Rocket-style mounts function like UFO mounts but with an added high-speed forward flight option.
Retain hovering and vertical movement
Gain powerful forward acceleration
Riding Stats
Each mountable PokΓ©mon has a set of riding stats that affect how it performs while being ridden. These are entirely separate from standard PokΓ©mon battle stats and are manually assigned to each PokΓ©mon.
Riding stats can be enhanced through the use of Aprijuices.
Speed
Determines the mountβs maximum movement velocity. Higher values allow faster travel.
Acceleration
Controls how quickly the mount reaches its top speed. Higher acceleration means less time to reach maximum velocity.
Skill
Affects how sharply a mount can turn.
Higher skill allows tighter turns
For UFO-style mounts, this stat instead affects deceleration speed
Jump
Determines jump height or vertical effectiveness, depending on ride style:
Submarine: Submerge and surface speed
Dolphin: Submerge speed and leap height
Bird: Gliding effectiveness
Jet: Minimum speed required to initiate flight
UFO: Height before stamina drain begins
Rocket: Vertical ascent speed
Stamina
Stamina governs how long a mount can maintain its special abilities:
Sprint duration for Standard mounts
Oxygen supply for Submarine and Dolphin mounts
Flight duration for Bird and Jet mounts
Maximum altitude for UFO and Rocket mounts
When stamina is depleted, the associated ability is disabled until stamina regenerates.
